Semi-automatic Single-color Printing and Slotting Machine

The Semi-automatic Single-color Printing and Slotting Machine combines single-color flexographic printing with carton slotting for corrugated cardboard processing. It is designed for packaging applications where basic surface printing and carton structural forming are required in the same processing operation.

The machine applies one color of ink to the surface of corrugated cardboard and subsequently forms slots required for carton folding. Its processing configuration is suitable for regular corrugated boxes, shipping cartons, industrial packaging, and other cardboard products with relatively simple printing layouts.

Single-Color Flexographic Printing

The printing section is designed to apply a single color of ink to corrugated cardboard. A printing plate transfers the required text, symbols, lines, patterns, or other graphic elements onto the cardboard surface.

Single-color printing is commonly used when cartons require basic product identification, handling instructions, shipping information, markings, or simple graphic designs. The printing layout can be changed by replacing the printing plate according to the required carton artwork.

Corrugated Cardboard Slotting

The slotting section processes the cardboard after the printing operation. It forms the grooves and slots needed to create the folding structure of a corrugated carton.

The slotting positions correspond to the carton design and determine the location of the folding flaps. Different carton dimensions and structural layouts can require different slotting settings to produce the appropriate packaging blank.

Printing and Slotting Process

Corrugated cardboard sheets are introduced into the machine through the feeding section. The sheets first pass through the single-color printing unit, where the selected printing plate transfers the required graphic information onto the cardboard.

After printing, the cardboard moves into the slotting section. The slotting mechanism forms the required grooves and flap openings, preparing the sheet for subsequent folding and carton assembly.

Semi-Automatic Material Handling

The semi-automatic configuration incorporates mechanical processing with manual sheet handling. Operators can load corrugated cardboard into the feeding section and collect the processed sheets after printing and slotting.

This arrangement is suitable for production processes in which cardboard loading, positioning, and collection are performed manually while the main printing and slotting operations are carried out by the machine.

Slotting for Regular Cartons

Slotting is an important step in manufacturing conventional corrugated cartons. By creating slots at predetermined positions, the flat cardboard sheet can be folded into the required box structure.

The machine can process carton blanks with different flap arrangements according to the selected slotting configuration. The processed cardboard can then proceed to folding, gluing, stitching, or other downstream carton-forming processes.

Single-Color Carton Printing

The single-color printing configuration is suitable for carton designs that do not require multiple printed colors. It can be used for simple text, product identification, shipping marks, handling symbols, directional markings, and basic packaging graphics.

Compared with multi-color printing processes, a single-color configuration is focused on straightforward printing requirements while maintaining the slotting function needed for carton production.

Corrugated Packaging Processing

The machine is intended for corrugated cardboard used in various packaging applications. The combination of printing and slotting allows surface information and carton structural features to be processed sequentially on the same machine.

It can accommodate different carton designs by changing the printing plate and adjusting the slotting position according to the required packaging structure.

Applications

The Semi-automatic Single-color Printing and Slotting Machine can be used for:

  • Corrugated shipping boxes

  • Industrial packaging cartons

  • Product packaging boxes

  • Regular slotted cartons

  • Printed corrugated boxes

  • Transport packaging

  • Simple printed cartons

  • Corrugated carton blanks

The machine is suitable for corrugated cardboard production processes that require single-color flexographic printing and carton slotting as part of the same workflow.
